On the day the 368th Brigade held the inauguration and handover ceremony for a new house donated to the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong (Group 5, An Khe Ward, Gia Lai Province), a large number of people came to share in the joy. Speaking with us, Colonel Tran Van Thinh, Political Commissar of the 368th Brigade, said: “This is one of the houses included in the Brigade’s 2025 ‘Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses’ program for disadvantaged families in the area where we are stationed.” The new house for Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong's family is a testament to the solidarity between the military and the people, demonstrating the affection, responsibility, and sharing of the officers and soldiers of the 368th Brigade with policy beneficiary families and poor households in An Khe Ward.

It is known that Ms. Huong is from a poor household facing extreme difficulties. For many years, the house where her family lives has been severely dilapidated and at risk of collapsing during the upcoming rainy season, but due to extremely difficult economic conditions, they lacked the funds to rebuild. Understanding her situation, the Party Committee and Command of Brigade 368 reported the matter and received financial support of 80 million VND from the Military Region 5 Command's "For the Poor" Fund. Simultaneously, the Brigade 368 Command assigned 8 officers and soldiers to directly assist Ms. Huong's family in building the house, contributing over 320 man-days of labor. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong shared: "Thanks to the care and assistance from Military Region 5 and the officers and soldiers of Brigade 368, my family now has a spacious new house. This is a great motivation for my family to improve our lives."

To build a solid "people's support base" in the area where the unit is stationed, in recent times, the Party Committee and command of Brigade 368 have coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and departments to effectively implement mass mobilization work, promote the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement, and build "Good Mass Mobilization Units"; helping people to alleviate poverty, build new rural areas, improve environmental sanitation, and prevent, combat, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters...

According to Lieutenant Colonel Tran Duc Dung, Deputy Head of Political Affairs of Brigade 368, implementing the "Sustainable Poverty Eradication" plan, in 2025, the unit supported 4 families in Kbang commune (Gia Lai) and An Khe ward to eradicate poverty; built and handed over 3 houses for comrades, and 2 houses under the "Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses" program. In addition, Brigade 368 also participated in civilian affairs work, disseminating the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; mobilized 1,160 man-days of soldiers to participate in eradicating temporary and dilapidated houses in Kong Bo La commune (Gia Lai)... contributing to the joint effort to build new rural areas and strengthen the solidarity between the military and the people.
