In line with the Politburo and Government's policy on developing education in disadvantaged areas, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) is coordinating with ministries, sectors, and localities to implement a pilot project to build 100 boarding schools for primary and secondary levels in 100 border communes nationwide.
Accordingly, in Gia Lai province, seven schools will be built in seven border communes: Ia Púch, Ia Mơ, Ia O, Ia Chía, Ia Pnôn, Ia Nan, and Ia Dom. The total project capital is over 1,516 billion VND; of which the central government budget accounts for nearly 1,468 billion VND.

On October 25th, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, inspected the preparations for the groundbreaking ceremony of the integrated primary and secondary boarding school project in 7 border communes of the province.
According to Mr. Lam Hai Giang, building schools for border communes is a major policy decision with profound political , social, and humanitarian significance, demonstrating the special concern of the Party and the State for the people, especially the students in border areas.
Mr. Giang emphasized that, upon completion, the project will help thousands of students in disadvantaged areas have stable living and studying conditions, contributing to improving the quality of education and creating momentum for sustainable development in the border region of Gia Lai province.
Mr. Giang requested that border communes urgently coordinate with relevant units to finalize compensation and land clearance plans; complete the dossiers, obtain approval, and implement the projects before October 29th. At the same time, they should promptly complete all land acquisition procedures according to regulations.
The Provincial People's Committee leaders have instructed the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the Provincial Investment Project Management Board and the People's Committee of Ia Nan commune to develop a specific and detailed plan for organizing the groundbreaking ceremony on November 2nd.

Construction begins on three multi-level boarding schools in border communes of Son La province.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training has ordered Cu Khe Primary School to immediately open a canteen for students.
