The leaders of Van Duc commune ( Gia Lai province) have requested the Principal of An Thanh Secondary School to conduct a review and clarify the responsibility of Mr. Pham Minh Trung, the school's Vice Principal, regarding the request for teachers to stop teaching so that students could clean up trash.
Readers of Dan Tri newspaper have expressed their opinions and views regarding Mr. Pham Minh Trung's actions and the aforementioned request for disciplinary action from the local authorities.
Many expressed agreement with Mr. Pham Minh Trung's actions, arguing that it helps students develop awareness, moral character, and a sense of responsibility. Meanwhile, a number of others argued that there are plenty of other times when it's unnecessary to stop teaching so that students can clean up trash.

"This is normal; it also helps students develop discipline and self-reliance in their work," reader Phong Trang commented.
Sharing the same viewpoint, reader trungchinh expressed: "That's the right thing to do. Students must be taught knowledge alongside awareness, ethics, and work ethic."
"With teachers like this, students will grow into good people. Let's appreciate the teacher's strictness in this case," reader Hoa Cuc Quỳ shared.
Reader Hoang Thy commented: "The Vice Principal is right, why should he be reprimanded? If the cleaning isn't done properly, it has to be redone. This is a way to educate students to be responsible for their work and to complete their assigned tasks. You're spoiling the students too much."
In response to the above viewpoint, reader Danny Lee asks: "Why interrupt a class during class time? Why not do the duty at another time? There are plenty of other times to be on duty."
Some other readers also argued that the Vice Principal was abusing his power, having plenty of other time to ask students to clean up instead of interrupting the lesson.
"Those without vision teach through actions, even violence. A manager handling things this way is a blatant abuse of power; no wonder people don't respect them. The more they try to explain, the more they expose their weaknesses," user Gv stated frankly.
Reader Danny Lee also asked: “The teacher has the right to ask, and his request is justified, but this is bureaucratic and authoritarian. Does the teacher think he is underestimating his power? Why doesn't he allow the students to do the cleaning during another time?”
As Dan Tri newspaper reported, at approximately 1:50 PM on October 2nd, while students in classes 8A3 and 9A1 were attending their first lesson, Mr. Pham Minh Trung entered the classroom and demanded that the teacher stop the lesson so that the students could go outside to clean up.
Mr. Trung's reason was that the areas where the two classes were supposed to be doing their morning cleaning still had trash and leaves and needed sweeping. He requested that the teachers of the two classes make up the lessons during the 5th period on the morning of October 6th, arguing that the school has the right to adjust the teaching schedule when teachers and students do not yet meet the conditions to be in class.
Parents also reported that while students in class 6A1 were studying natural science taught by Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Hanh, Mr. Trung entered the classroom to check the lesson plan and teaching equipment. Upon discovering a lack of teaching equipment, Mr. Trung loudly shouted and demanded that Ms. Hanh stop the lesson and go to the office.
