A group of students built a cyber intelligence network that helps thousands of people detect fraudulent websites every day.

The 2025 Vietnamese Talent Awards ceremony , chaired by the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and accompanied by the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group ( VNPT ), was held on the evening of October 27 in Hanoi.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed: "The Vietnamese Talent Awards have marked two decades of formation and development, becoming one of the prestigious awards in the fields of science and technology, education and learning encouragement in Vietnam."

From its initial goal of finding and honoring talents in the information technology industry, the award has continuously expanded its scope, comprehensively reflecting the pillars of sustainable development of the country. Thereby, the award has contributed to discovering, encouraging and spreading creative values ​​in the community, especially the intellectuals, scientists and creative workers across the country.

Over the past 20 years, the Vietnam Talent Awards have connected a series of events on creative research and the application of research results to life.

The most common characteristic of all the contestants is that they all study regularly, work hard, study for real, take real exams, have real talent, combine study with practice, conduct scientific research and create new knowledge right in the production process, and take serving people's lives as the purpose of their activities.

Third prize in the promising Digital Technology product system is the Artificial Intelligence Website Fraud Detection Tool made by a group of young authors from the Anti-Fraud Company.

Cyber ​​security expert Ngo Minh Hieu, representing the group of authors, said that in the Anti-Fraud group, the young people who created the website were only in their third year of university and participated in the construction as technicians.

The group's representative shared more about how the system works, which will be based on building a network security intelligence system, to be able to scan for suspicious websites before they can affect users.

“Currently, the website for detecting and preventing fraud has recorded thousands of visits to find information and check websites that show signs of fraud and property appropriation on the internet. That is also the motivation for us to perfect the AI ​​tool for preventing fraud,” shared cybersecurity expert Ngo Minh Hieu.

The year 2025 recorded 168 entries in the digital technology field - a number that demonstrates the strong attraction and growing prestige of the Vietnam Talent Awards.

After the preliminary round, 17 excellent products were selected by the jury to enter the final round and had a dramatic, intellectual and creative live defense before the final jury on October 25, to find the most worthy faces for the Vietnam Talent Cup 2025.

This year, the digital technology sector is particularly vibrant, attracting many products from young authors aged 16-30, including many high school students, university students and Vietnamese technology start-ups.

The participation of young people shows that the award has become a source of inspiration and a launching pad for a new generation of creators, while also reflecting the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that is spreading strongly in the Vietnamese technology community.
