
The revolutionary relic of the Cipher Tunnel - General Staff Headquarters in the Thang Long Imperial Citadel heritage site opens to visitors for the first time.
The project began on February 10, 1966 and was completed on June 30 of the same year, with an area of over 37 square meters. The bunker played a particularly important role, helping the General Headquarters of the Vietnam People's Army maintain direction, management, and command of the military branches and fronts in the conditions when Hanoi was bombed by the US Air Force. The bunker was used most in December 1972 - the time when the US Air Force bombed Hanoi and Hai Phong most fiercely.

The entrance to the cellar is a staircase with an iron handrail. The cellar was restored with the principle of respecting and not interfering with the original monument.

The doors and frames are made of solid iron at the two entrances to the basement.

The cellar consists of two separate rooms with connecting doors and a ceiling about 2 m high.
