For the first time, Dak Lak Police organized driving tests and issued driving licenses.

This round of testing had 202 students taking part in the test, granting Class B driver's licenses. To prepare for the test, Dak Lak Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Construction and the Driver Training and Testing Center to review, evaluate, and prepare conditions regarding facilities, equipment, vehicles, and human resources to organize high results, in accordance with regulations, and meet people's needs.

Traffic police measure alcohol levels of students before entering the exam.

Trainees are given specific and complete instructions by the Traffic Police on procedures such as measuring alcohol and stimulant levels as well as checking and guiding them through the exam procedures before officially entering the theory and practice exams. According to regulations, trainees will take turns going through 4 exams including: theory exam on computer, software simulating traffic situations, practice in the driving course and driving on public roads.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Thanh, Head of the Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police, said that the unit has deployed training and issued driving test cards to officers and soldiers of the unit. The department has actively coordinated with the Traffic Police Department to install machines, databases, and software to facilitate the testing and issuance of driving licenses to students.

“The Traffic Police Department requires the Examination Council to organize the exam in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring publicity, transparency, objectivity and accuracy. At the same time, it requires strengthening inspection and supervision of the implementation process to promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle negative manifestations and violations, if any. Notably, in this exam, all candidates must measure their alcohol concentration before taking the exam, this is a new thing to tighten discipline and enhance the sense of responsibility of traffic participants right from when they are still students,” said Lieutenant Colonel Thanh.
