Spreading the artistic value of Da Nang in the exhibition "April Sunshine"

NDO - The art exhibition “April Sunshine” officially opened on the afternoon of April 16 at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum. The event was held to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024), as well as to recognize the positive contributions of painters and sculptors to the fine arts sector in Da Nang over the past year.

This is the first art exhibition organized by the Da Nang City Fine Arts Association with part of the funding being socialized through sponsorship from non-state organizations and individuals, namely the Da Nang Advertising Association and Collector Le Quang Khai.

This exhibition is a great opportunity for art lovers to discover new works, diverse and rich in content, materials and creative techniques by painters and sculptors who are members and collaborators of the Da Nang Fine Arts Association.

Painter Than Trong Dung, Chairman of the Da Nang Fine Arts Association, said: Da Nang Fine Arts has been growing stronger and stronger since its inception. Through that, many generations of painters have matured in many schools of art such as Realism, Impressionism, Surrealism, Abstraction, etc.

Each artist has achieved more or less success in the flow of many integrated art trends, but still retains the beauty from real life and national culture and traditions.

The art exhibition “April Sunshine” is an event to honor artistic creativity, opening a series of events organized by the City Fine Arts Association in 2024. The exhibition theme praises the love of homeland, honestly reflecting the people and typical climate of the windy and sunny central region, on the background of rich and diverse materials.

"From now until 2030, the Da Nang Fine Arts Association will continue to organize and coordinate many activities and events to maintain the vitality of the city's fine arts activities and have a long-term vision to promote the creative space of painters and sculptors," said Mr. Than Trong Dung.

The exhibition "April Sunshine" with 43 works by 37 authors, with perspectives and feelings about the image of homeland, country, people, natural landscapes... expressed through many different materials, colors, and shapes, brings many unique feelings to the audience.

At this exhibition, the Da Nang City Fine Arts Association awarded 4 equal prizes to 4 young artists (under 40 years old) who have made many contributions to the activities of the City Fine Arts Association.

The exhibition runs until May 16.
