Our first impression when entering Dong Que Kindergarten (Song Lo) is the fresh, clean space, the school campus and classrooms are scientifically arranged with many flower beds and ornamental plants interwoven, contributing to creating a landscape and a friendly learning environment, close to children.

Right in the school yard, a group of children are being guided by their teacher in activities to experience planting and caring for trees such as digging the soil, watering the plants, wiping leaves, picking up yellow leaves, weeding, etc.

Teacher Nguyen Thi Hien Hanh, Principal of Dong Que Kindergarten, said: To create a friendly and healthy learning environment for young children, the school always pays attention to and mobilizes resources to invest in facilities, create green spaces in the school yard and classrooms, build playgrounds, open outdoor experience corners to ensure green, clean, beautiful and safe criteria; mobilize staff, teachers and parents to contribute and support more than 500 pots of plants and flowers of various types and colors placed in the school yard and hallways of classrooms; electrical equipment, fire and explosion prevention equipment are arranged scientifically, safely and appropriately...

For students, schools regularly educate and help children better understand the living environment, thereby forming awareness and consciousness of environmental protection such as throwing garbage in the right place, not littering; arranging utensils and toys neatly and tidily; planting, caring for and protecting trees...

As usual, every morning before school starts, students of Dong Tam Primary School (Vinh Yen) are divided into groups to clean the classrooms; pick up trash and fallen leaves around the school grounds; water flower beds and plant pots in the classroom hallways and in the schoolyard...

Teacher Luu Thi Lan Anh, Principal of Dong Tam Primary School, said: To ensure that students can study and practice in a healthy and friendly environment, the school always focuses on investing in upgrading facilities and teaching and learning equipment; actively renovating the campus, planting and taking care of trees and flowers in the school yard and hallways and classrooms; hanging slogans and billboards about protecting a green, clean and beautiful environment in the school yard...

The library is arranged scientifically and neatly, the reading table area is interspersed with small pots of plants and flowers. In addition, the school also designed an open-air reading area, located under the green trees in the school yard, contributing to bringing a sense of relaxation and arousing the reading culture in each student.

Regarding safety criteria, the school always focuses on educating students with the necessary knowledge and skills to protect themselves from dangerous situations. At the same time, it proactively equips a safety net system in the corridors of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the buildings and a bar system at the gables; separates the school dismissal time for each grade, regulates the waiting area for parents to pick up their children, and assigns teachers to guide traffic flow in front of the school gate to ensure the safety of students, avoid congestion, and cause traffic disorder.

In addition, to ensure the quality of boarding meals, the school focuses on controlling input food sources, food processing and preservation procedures, and checking before eating...

Currently, 100% of schools in the province have issued a plan to "Build green, clean, beautiful and safe schools" associated with the work of building national standard schools and implementing the criteria according to Circular No. 18 of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Responding to the movement, schools have implemented many creative activities such as greening the campus with fruit trees and shade trees; planting and caring for gardens serving learning with native trees and trees typical of each region; building green libraries, friendly libraries, outdoor libraries; doing a good job of environmental sanitation; organizing students to work, weed, take care of flowers and ornamental plants, classify garbage, etc.

Facilities and auxiliary works of schools are continuously repaired, upgraded and newly built, and teaching equipment is invested in.

Up to now, Vinh Phuc is one of the few provinces and cities in the country that has enough solid classrooms for all levels of education, of which preschools reach 92.6%, primary schools reach 96.8%, secondary schools reach 98.2%, high schools and continuing education reach 100%; all levels of education have basically completed the standard toilet target.

In addition, the Department of Education and Training directs schools to integrate education on knowledge and skills to ensure safety and self-protection into activities to nurture, care for, and educate students or through forms of experience and practice in handling self-protection situations appropriate to the needs and ages of students.

In the coming time, the Department of Education and Training will continue to direct schools to promote propaganda and education on knowledge and skills for self-protection for students; proactively review and overcome potential safety risks for students; actively plant trees, green the school grounds and classrooms... to build a safe, healthy, and friendly learning environment, helping students develop comprehensively both physically and mentally.
