Spreading Vietnamese culture and cuisine in the capital of Malaysia

Participating in the fair as a partner, 10 stalls of the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association introduced to visitors traditional Vietnamese dishes such as pho, banh mi, nem cuon, coffee, etc., attracting many visitors to enjoy. In addition, many Vietnamese foods were also sold such as instant noodles, dried pho noodles, instant coffee, dipping sauce, etc.

According to the Organizing Committee, the fair includes more than 220 stalls, the Malaysia-Vietnam Friendship Association is the only foreign representative attending. Through the fair, the Organizing Committee hopes to gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture as well as the richness of Vietnamese cuisine, contributing to strengthening the diplomatic relationship between Vietnam and Malaysia as the two countries have passed the historical milestone of half a century of establishment.

Speaking to VNA reporters in Kuala Lumpur after visiting the fair and Vietnamese booths, Counselor Le Phu Cuong said that participating in fairs to promote Vietnamese cuisine is very necessary. In addition to the many benefits that participating businesses receive from the fair, they also contribute to promoting the image of the country, culinary culture, as well as creating goodwill among Malaysian consumers, thereby encouraging local people to buy Vietnamese export products in the market.

Counselor Le Phu Cuong said that in the coming time, the Trade Office and the Vietnamese Embassy will continue to support organizations and activities to promote Vietnamese products to raise awareness and attract Malaysian consumers' interest in Vietnamese products.

Emphasizing the promotion of the country's image through cultural interactions, including Vietnamese cuisine, Ms. Tran Thi Chang, President of the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association, hopes that through the fair, Malaysian and international friends will understand more about Vietnamese culture and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine. According to her, through the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association and IFOOD - Malaysia's leading food event organizer - at the opening ceremony, the Friendship Association will have more favorable conditions to attend major food events in Malaysia, especially when the organizer is very professional and the venue is chosen in a large area with a large number of consumers...

Attending the opening ceremony of the fair, Ambassador Dinh Ngoc Linh and his wife, along with the organizers and members of the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association, enjoyed many traditional dance performances of the two countries. The Ambassador also visited the Vietnamese booth at the fair, visited and encouraged Vietnamese businesses, and affirmed that the Embassy is always ready to accompany businesses to preserve and spread Vietnamese culture.
