On a travel itinerary in Japan, Fukushima (about 300 km from Tokyo) is an attractive destination with Tsuruga castle, Inawashiro lake, Marunaka strawberry farm, Yunokami Onsen hot spring station or the hundreds of years old Ouchi-juku ancient village.
Ouchi-juku during the Edo period (1603-1868) was a resting place for travelers traveling between the East and West, along the Aizu - Nishi Kaido trade route.
Ouchijuku in Fukushima is designated as a National Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings. Seen from above, the old village is "picturesque"
Despite many ups and downs over time, the houses here are still preserved intact.
Tourists stroll along the road in front of the village. Looking down from above, the ancient village is as beautiful as a painting. Currently, there are about 48 houses along both sides of the road, of which 3 are motels, the rest are used by locals to run shops and sell souvenirs.
One of the things that impresses Vietnamese tourists when they come to destinations in Fukushima is that many places welcome guests in Vietnamese.
Vietnamese tourists coming here can feel the ancient shadow of the Edo period when looking at the ancient thatched roofs of the houses along the road.
Visitors can choose to buy exquisitely handcrafted souvenirs or buy local products and enjoy local cuisine.
Among them, "Negi Soba" noodles are famous here because they use a leek stalk to eat instead of chopsticks.
This is a dish that visitors to the village can try and enjoy.
Ouchi-juku is a great place to visit for its unique charm and history, with the winter scenery being particularly picturesque.
Nestled in the mountains of southwestern Fukushima, in winter, the ancient village scene is sparkling. Ouchi-juku is considered beautiful all year round by tourists, and has been and is one of the favorite destinations of tourists, including Vietnamese tourists.
