Thanh Ha Pottery Village, a living heritage with a history of more than 500 years, has just been honored as "Best Community Tourism Destination 2025" at the Vietnam Tourism Awards.
This is a worthy recognition for the efforts to preserve and promote traditional cultural values, while affirming the effective community-based craft village tourism model in Vietnam.

With a long history of formation and development, Thanh Ha pottery village has almost completely preserved its relics, traditional craft village landscapes, traditional handmade pottery making processes and many valuable indigenous folk knowledge.
This has turned this place into a unique tourist destination, considered by many experts to be a model of craft village tourism and community tourism in Vietnam.
In 2019, Thanh Ha pottery was included in the list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
In particular, the active participation of the local community, with 33 households and 68 workers, including 5 excellent artisans directly involved in pottery production and serving tourism activities, has created vitality for the craft village.
Revenue from tour guiding activities at Thanh Ha pottery village is mainly used to preserve and promote the cultural and historical values of the craft village, invest in infrastructure and landscapes for tourism, and especially pay artisans and workers directly involved in community tourism activities.

The Vietnam Tourism Awards, organized annually by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, aim to honor tourism businesses, organizations, and high-quality educational and training establishments that have made positive contributions to the development of Vietnam's tourism.
This year's award ceremony was held on World Tourism Day, September 27, with the message of responding to the transformation of sustainable tourism launched by the United Nations Tourism Organization, to promote sustainable, fair and environmentally responsible tourism.

The fact that Thanh Ha pottery village was honored in the category of "Best Community Tourism Destination" is not only the pride of the craft village itself, but also a testament to the right direction in developing craft village tourism associated with the community, helping to create great values for the community.
This is also a driving force to promote sustainable tourism activities, associated with the preservation of traditional cultural values, active community participation, as well as the creativity of local people.
Every year, the Thanh Ha pottery ancestor's death anniversary takes place on the 10th day of the 7th lunar month. This festival is an opportunity for the people of Thanh Ha pottery village to express their deep gratitude to their ancestors who founded the village, taught the pottery craft and educated the younger generation about the historical and cultural traditions of their homeland.
In 2024, Thanh Ha pottery village welcomed 550,000 visitors, achieving revenue of more than 19.2 billion VND, contributing to the development of the local economy and promoting Vietnamese culture.
