In the letter, Mr. Kim Jong Un expressed his satisfaction with the frank and comprehensive discussion at the recent conference in Moscow. The North Korean leader emphasized: "I hope that the Russian people, who have worked hard to build a powerful country, will always gain victory and glory in the struggle to protect the country's sovereignty , dignity, security and peace."
Affirming that the recent meeting is a testament to the development of bilateral relations, President Putin believes that the implementation of the agreements will contribute to expanding bilateral cooperation, improving the well-being of the people of the two countries and ensuring security and stability on the Korean Peninsula as well as the entire Northeast Asia region.
About a month ago, the North Korean leader made a state visit to Russia and held talks with President Putin at the Vostochny space center in Russia's Far East. During the talks, the two discussed military cooperation, including North Korea's satellite program and the conflict in Ukraine.
Experts say the talks could be an opportunity for North Korea to agree to supply weapons to Russia. In return, Moscow could agree to transfer technology to Pyongyang, such as spy satellite technology and nuclear-powered submarines.
