- On the morning of May 15, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a conference to collect opinions on the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution . Comrade Nguyen Hoang Tung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; leaders of member organizations of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; former leaders of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee through the periods.

The draft resolution of the National Assembly's Committee on amendments and supplements to a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution consists of 2 articles. Of which, Article 1 includes 8 clauses amending and supplementing a number of provisions of the 2013 Constitution on the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, on administrative units and local government organizations; Article 2 includes 3 clauses regulating the effective date and transitional provisions. This aims to implement the policy of streamlining and streamlining the apparatus of the political system, with the scope of amendments and supplements focusing on the provisions on the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the delimitation of administrative units and local government organizations.

Notably, the draft amends and supplements a number of contents such as: concepts, functions, and tasks of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and other social organizations; determining types of administrative units below provinces and centrally-run cities; amending the right to question of People's Council delegates in the following cases: Chairman of the People's Committee, members of the People's Committee, and heads of agencies under the People's Committee (no longer the case of the Chief Justice of the People's Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy as before)...

The conference received 12 comments on the draft resolution. The majority of comments expressed agreement and high consensus with the amendment and supplementation of a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, in order to meet the urgent need to streamline the apparatus in the current political system.

Concluding the conference, the Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee thanked the delegates for their enthusiastic, responsible and highly practical contributions. He affirmed that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee will fully synthesize the contributions and promptly send them to the advisory agencies to submit to the National Assembly for consideration, contributing to the completion of the draft Resolution amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution, ensuring quality, feasibility and social consensus when the resolution is passed in the coming time.
