Tan Tien Communal House Festival (Don Dac Commune, Ba Che)

On the morning of February 12, the People's Committee of Don Dac commune (Ba Che district) organized the Tan Tien communal house festival to pray for favorable weather, good crops, and peace, prosperity, and happiness for the villagers.

Villagers carry the palanquin of the village's patron saint.

Tan Tien Communal House, Don Dac Commune has existed for a long time, worshiping the village's Thanh Hoang, including ancestors who lived a kind life, loved the poor, and were respected by the villagers; when they passed away, the villagers worshiped them with incense.

On January 15, people in the villages in the commune will contribute offerings to the New Year's ceremony, praying for wealth, good weather, good crops, and bountiful harvests. The offerings are products made by the people.

The highlight of this year's festival is the procession of the village's tutelary deity tablet. The procession starts from the communal house yard, goes around the village and returns to the communal house yard. Immediately after the procession of the tutelary deity tablet ends, there is an incense offering ceremony, a ceremony of cultural activities, art performances, sports, and folk games.

The Organizing Committee read a congratulatory speech to express gratitude for the merits of our ancestors.

The restored Tan Tien communal house festival is one of the activities to express the people's gratitude to the village's tutelary god, to express the morality of respecting ancestors, to remember the merits of national heroes who have contributed to building and protecting the homeland and the country as well as the predecessors who founded the village, passed on their profession, and brought a prosperous and happy life to the people. This is also an important content to effectively implement Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 of the Provincial Party Committee "On building and promoting cultural values, the strength of Quang Ninh people to become an endogenous resource, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development".
