20th Anniversary of the Center for National Defense and Security Education

On November 8, Tay Bac University held a ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Center for National Defense and Security Education (2005 - 2025). Attending the ceremony were Major General, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Bach, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Border Guard Academy; representatives of the standing body of the National Defense Education Council of Military Region 2 and affiliated units teaching the subject of National Defense and Security Education in the provinces of Dien Bien and Lai Chau.

After 20 years of construction and development, the Center for National Defense and Security Education, Tay Bac University has affirmed its core role in education, fostering the spirit and awareness of national defense and security for students in the Northwest region, contributing to building a strong national defense. From 2013 to present, the Center has conducted 80 training courses for students of universities and colleges in 3 provinces: Son La, Dien Bien and Lai Chau, with nearly 20,000 students completing the subject of National Defense and Security Education. Every year, the Center proactively coordinates with educational institutions in the region to organize conferences on linking national defense and security education subjects, competitions for excellent lecturers, professional training and many community service activities, improving the quality of training, fostering awareness and responsibility to protect the Fatherland for the young generation in the new era.

In recognition of the achievements, the Minister of Education and Training awarded certificates of merit to 5 individuals; the Rector of Tay Bac University awarded certificates of merit to 3 groups and 5 individuals of the Center for National Defense and Security Education for their outstanding achievements in the process of building and developing the unit.
