The first leg of Group E of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers ended on October 9 with Malaysia dominating the top spot after 3 wins against Laos, Vietnam and Nepal. Vietnam is close behind Malaysia with 6 points after 2 wins and 1 loss. Laos has 3 points and is in third place while Nepal is at the bottom of the table with no points.

Beating Nepal 3-1, Vietnam team still ranked second in Group F of the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers

On October 14, the first match of the return leg will take place with the Vietnamese team facing Nepal at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC) at 7:30 p.m., while in Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian team will face the Lao team again at 10:00 p.m.

The next round of matches of the return leg of Group E will take place on November 18 when Nepal meets Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur (10 p.m.), and Laos meets Vietnam in Vientiane (7 p.m.).
