The APEC Summit Week in Korea has just ended successfully, receiving great international attention as it took place in the context of unpredictable geopolitical and geo-economic fluctuations. Attending the event, President Luong Cuong sent important messages, continuing to demonstrate a dynamic, open and responsible Vietnam in the face of new challenges.

President Luong Cuong, along with 20 APEC member economic leaders and nearly 2,000 leading corporations and businesses in the region, discussed ways to turn the Asia- Pacific into an open, peaceful, self-reliant and dynamic region.
The biggest success was the adoption of the Gyeongju Declaration and two important documents on artificial intelligence and population structure, contributing to expanding the role and weight of APEC - a region accounting for nearly 40% of the world's population and nearly 50% of global trade.
Artificial intelligence was the overarching theme of this year’s conference, and for the first time in APEC history, a common vision on artificial intelligence was formed. This was also the consistent message that President Luong Cuong emphasized in the important sessions of the Forum.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Minh Hang said: "The President clearly affirmed Vietnam's viewpoints and approaches to major issues facing the future development of the region and the world. The President also made proposals and solutions for APEC cooperation to become more substantive and effective, responding to the rapid changes taking place and bringing real benefits to the development of the region and each member economy. The spirit of initiative, responsibility, the approach promoting multilateralism, solidarity, international cooperation as well as recommendations and solutions suitable to Vietnam's reality have made important contributions to the overall success of the Conference."
Following the success of the signing ceremony of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime hosted by Vietnam, the messages delivered by President Luong Cuong at this Conference continue to affirm Vietnam's responsibility and commitment to contributing to building a safe and trustworthy cyberspace in the context of the world changing rapidly due to the remarkable advances of artificial intelligence, directly impacting each country and the lives of each citizen.
Also at the Conference, President Luong Cuong had intimate and open meetings with General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping; US President Donald Trump and heads of delegations from most APEC member economies, thereby consolidating good relations and multifaceted cooperation with partners. In particular, leaders of APEC economies highly appreciated Vietnam's contributions and looked forward to participating in the activities of APEC 2027 hosted by Vietnam.

"The last time Vietnam hosted APEC, we saw Vietnam focus strongly on integration, food, climate change and energy. I hope Vietnam will draw on its experiences and consider the challenges that lie ahead. In the preparation for 2027, Vietnam can participate very actively in APEC's work and lay the foundation for a successful 2027," said Mr. Eduardo Pedrosa (Executive Director of the APEC Secretariat).
Also during the working trip, President Luong Cuong held talks with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-Myung, with both sides expressing their strong determination to substantially implement the agreements reached during General Secretary To Lam's State visit to the Republic of Korea last August.
The important content emphasized by the President of South Korea is to increase the quota and expand the industries that receive Vietnamese workers, creating conditions for the community of more than 350,000 Vietnamese people to live, study and work long-term in Korea.
The desire to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between localities of the two countries was also expressed during the working trip of President Luong Cuong, concretized by many activities in Busan city and Gyeongsangbuk province. From the 12th to 13th centuries, this is where the descendants of the Ly dynasty of Vietnam settled and contributed to the construction of this land. Cultural exchange and spiritual harmony are valuable materials to connect and promote strategic cooperation between the two nations in the coming time.
"Vietnam and Korea have been connected for more than 800 years and our locality has many activities that clearly demonstrate that relationship. I would like to emphasize that Vietnam is a friend and close neighbor and I believe that we will have more cooperation projects to build schools, medical facilities, and promote cultural exchanges between rural areas," affirmed Mr. Kim Hak-Hong (Deputy Governor of Gyeosangbuk Province).
With many important marks on both multilateral and bilateral levels, President Luong Cuong's working trip was a great success, contributing to further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with the Republic of Korea, while bringing new vitality to APEC's efforts in promoting inclusive growth, substantive cooperation and connectivity among member economies.
