The Vietnamese U.21 women's volleyball team has some promising players like Dang Thi Hong, but their immature playing style and uneven squad led to coach Nguyen Trong Linh's players losing both of their first two matches in Group B of the VTV Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament against Taiwan (0-3) and Thailand U.21 (1-3).

In the final match of Group B, taking place at 7 PM today (live on VTV2 and VTV Can Tho ), the Vietnam U21 team faces a huge challenge against Korabelka Club, the defending champions. The Russian team, after winning their opening match 3-2 against Thailand U21, aims to defeat Vietnam U21 to improve their ranking. Meanwhile, if Vietnam U21 fails to surprise their opponent, they will finish the group stage in last place among the four teams and will likely face the Vietnamese women's volleyball team in the quarterfinals. The coaching staff of the Vietnam U21 team hopes the young players will perform confidently and improve with each match.
Also today, the remaining match in Group B will take place between Thailand U21 and Taiwan (2 PM). In Group A, the match will be between the Philippines national team and Sichuan Club (China). The Vietnamese women's volleyball team, after two consecutive wins, will have a day of rest and will play their final Group A match tomorrow (July 1st) against Sichuan Club.
