Responding to Workers' Month 2025, the atmosphere of labor competition in production at Pacific Company Limited (Thong Nhat Ward, Hoa Binh City) is bustling with determination to complete the set production plan. As an enterprise specializing in processing pickled ginger, pickled cucumbers and chili leaves for export to the Japanese market, the company is creating stable jobs for nearly 250 local workers. The average income of workers is from 5 - 6 million VND/person/month. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, President of the Pacific Company Limited Trade Union, said: "The Executive Board of the Trade Union has proactively advised and coordinated with employers to fully implement the legitimate rights and interests of employees. Currently, the Company's Board of Directors is focusing on rebuilding and building a new factory to meet the requirements of expanding production scale, continuing to create stable employment opportunities for local labor resources. At the same time, building cultural institutions such as collective housing, kitchens, etc. to improve the living conditions of employees. Along with that, promoting activities to care for the material and spiritual life of the workforce."
The Hoa Binh City Labor Federation currently has nearly 8,000 workers, civil servants, and employees (CNVCLĐ), operating at 152 grassroots unions (CĐCS). The Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation regularly directs its affiliated grassroots unions to closely follow political tasks, promote propaganda, education, dissemination, and implementation of learning of Party directives and resolutions, policies, and laws of the State to all union members and employees. In 2024, grassroots unions coordinated with heads of agencies and units to organize conferences for cadres, civil servants, and public employees, achieving 100% of assigned targets, and 95.2% of enterprises organized dialogues at the workplace according to regulations. The organization of labor conferences and dialogues at the workplace was carried out seriously, the content of the conferences was democratic, in accordance with the law, respecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees and employers, contributing to building a harmonious, stable, and progressive relationship in enterprises.
Implementing the patriotic emulation movement, the City Labor Federation propagates and mobilizes grassroots unions to implement and concretize emulation movements with specific criteria, suitable for each agency, unit, and enterprise, attracting a large number of employees to participate. Notably, the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers" with nearly 416 topics, initiatives, and useful solutions researched and applied by union members and employees at the grassroots level.
In the first quarter of 2025, the City Labor Federation continued to sign a welfare program for union members and employees to participate in purchasing " Postal Social Security Insurance" to protect their families at a preferential rate. Coordinated with MEDLATEC Hoa Binh Co., Ltd. to organize a program to provide free health care services for union members and employees. Previously, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the City Labor Federation presented 585 gifts, worth 182 million VND to people, union members and employees in difficult circumstances.
