The 2025 National Expanded Music Festival has the theme "Music Convergence and Spread"

On October 27, information from the Vietnam Musicians Association said that the 2025 National Expanded Music Festival with the theme "Music Convergence and Spread" will take place at the Southern Military Theater and the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House, from October 29 to November 2, 2025.

This is a practical activity to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party; celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (1950 - 2025), and at the same time launch the "Vietnam-China Humanitarian Exchange Year", aiming to strengthen cooperation in the field of music between the two countries.

The Organizing Committee said that the 2025 National Expanded Music Festival includes two areas: Music Works Festival and Vietnamese Voice Festival with Instrumental Solos (repertoire festival). Accordingly, in the field of music works festival, participating works are new compositions in 2024-2025 by members of the Vietnam Musicians Association, from branches and musician groups nationwide, which have not participated in any competitions of central organizations, departments and branches.

The genre of works participating in the festival includes songs or ensembles, instrumental solos (duration not exceeding 7 minutes/work). In the field of performing performances by singers and artists, the genre of works participating in the festival is songs or instrumental solos. The works performed in the festival are Vietnamese works, chosen by the singer or artist, with high technical content. Artists participating in the festival are members or non-members of the Vietnam Musicians Association, selected and introduced by the association branch.

The works and performances participating in the festival focus on reflecting the themes of the Party, Uncle Ho; the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; the love for the homeland, the country, the culture of the Vietnamese people in tradition and in the new era of national development; culture and international friendship...

The Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and many artists and singers will participate in the 2025 National Music Festival.

The 2025 National Music Festival will be attended by more than 600 musicians and artists from 38 Vietnamese Musicians Associations in provinces and cities across the country, with more than 185 performances. The program will feature many famous singers and artists.

The Vietnam Musicians Association said that within the framework of the 2025 National Music Festival, there will be a music performance program called “Vietnam-China Friendship Symphony”, performed by the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra (HBSO) and Vietnamese and Chinese artists and singers.

The 2025 National Expanded Music Festival is a festival for musicians and music lovers, aiming to honor and promote new musical works and projects; continue to encourage and motivate creative exploration in the fields of music composition, performance and training.

This is also an opportunity to meet, exchange and interact in music between domestic and international composers and performing artists, meeting the public's increasing demand for art enjoyment.
