It is known that the Maternal and Child Nutrition Program is implemented by Ajinomoto Vietnam Company in coordination with the Department of Maternal and Child Health and the National Institute of Nutrition - Ministry of Health and officially deployed nationwide from December 2020. Thereby helping beneficiaries access and effectively use the Software, contributing to nutritional care and health for mothers and children in Vietnam.

Ensuring nutrition for mothers and children under 5 years old through software tools

The software "Building a balanced nutritional menu for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children from 7 months to 60 months old" provides a menu of more than 2,500 nutritionally balanced, delicious dishes, developed for each stage of pregnancy as well as after birth, with detailed, simple recipes, helping mothers save time while still ensuring proper nutrition.

The software provides more than 2,500 nutritionally balanced dishes for pregnant and lactating mothers and children under 5 years old.

In particular, the menus are divided according to the tastes of the three regions: North, Central and South, with culinary experts from the three regions advising on the dishes and how to prepare the menu to suit the region and ensure deliciousness. Pregnant and nursing mothers are invited to participate in surveys, experiments and give feedback throughout the menu development process.

In addition, the Software also provides mothers with tools to monitor and take care of their health at home, along with a rich treasure trove of culinary and nutritional knowledge compiled by experts.

Contribute to community nutrition with many valuable initiatives

In addition to the Maternal and Child Nutrition Program, Ajinomoto Company is implementing many initiatives that contribute to bringing happiness and health to the people and society of Vietnam, in accordance with the company's Purpose of Existence.

In the field of nutrition, Ajinomoto Vietnam is implementing the School Meals Project and the Vietnam Nutrition System Development Project (VINEP) in parallel.

The School Meals Project was implemented by Ajinomoto Vietnam Company in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training, the National Institute of Nutrition (Ministry of Health) and deployed in boarding primary schools nationwide since 2017, with contents supporting the nutritional and health development of primary school students, including: "Software for building a balanced nutritional menu", the nutrition education program "Three minutes to change awareness" and "Model boarding kitchen" to ensure food hygiene and safety.

School Meals Project provides nutritionally balanced lunches to primary school students nationwide

To date, the Project has been implemented in more than 4,200 primary boarding schools in provinces and cities nationwide, providing nutritionally balanced meals and educating nutritional knowledge about food to more than 1.4 million students.

Meanwhile, VINEP was launched in 2011, initiated by Ajinomoto Group and Ajinomoto Vietnam Company in cooperation with the National Institute of Nutrition - Ministry of Health. The project supports the establishment of Bachelor of Nutrition training programs at major medical universities nationwide, with the aim of training nutrition experts to work in medical and health agencies and organizations; building a nutrition system to provide long-term solutions to develop nutrition and health for Vietnamese people.
