Oath of new Chief Justice Nguyen Van Quang before the National Assembly

(Dan Tri) - Before the National Assembly and compatriots and voters nationwide, Chief Justice Nguyen Van Quang swore "Absolute loyalty to the Fatherland, the People, the Constitution, and strive to fulfill assigned tasks well".

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang officially became Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court after the National Assembly voted to pass a Resolution on this content on the morning of November 10.

After being elected, new Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Van Quang was invited by National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man to take the oath of office before the National Assembly.

Witnessed by the leaders of the Party, State, Fatherland Front and National Assembly deputies, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Van Quang swore: "Under the sacred red flag with yellow star of the Fatherland, before the National Assembly, compatriots and voters nationwide, I - Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, swear: Absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the People, to the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, striving to fulfill the tasks assigned by the Party, State and People".

New Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Van Quang was born in 1969, from Hai Phong. He is a member of the 13th Central Committee, with a PhD in Law.

Growing up as an investigator, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang has a long time working in the prosecution industry.

He has held many important positions in the industry such as Chief Prosecutor of Le Chan District People's Procuracy, Deputy Chief Prosecutor and then Chief Prosecutor of Hai Phong City People's Procuracy; Head of the Department of Prosecution of Civil Cases - Supreme People's Procuracy.

In mid-2015, Mr. Quang became the Chief Prosecutor of the High-level People's Procuracy in Ho Chi Minh City, then the Director of the Department of Prosecution and Investigation Supervision of Economic Cases - Supreme People's Procuracy.

In September 2018, he was assigned the position of Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Procuracy and held this position for more than a year, before being transferred to the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee. After that, he continued to be elected as Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee and held this position for one term.

In September 2025, Mr. Quang was appointed to the position of Permanent Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate and only 2 months later, he was appointed to join the Party Executive Committee, the Party Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Supreme People's Court for the 2025-2030 term.
