In his opening speech and directing the contest, comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang stated: Over the years, the Academy has continuously organized many activities to contribute to improving the quality of the teaching staff; including the Excellent Lecturer Contest (held periodically every 2 years from the grassroots level to the Academy level).
The 6th Academy-level Excellent Lecturer Competition in 2025 took place on November 10 and 11, with the participation of 50 contestants who are lecturers from units in the Academy system.
This is an opportunity for lecturers in the entire Academy system to demonstrate their pedagogical capacity and individual knowledge level, aiming to select outstanding and typical lecturers to commend and reward.
From there, it motivates the staff and lecturers to continue to promote the spirit of self-study, improve professional qualifications, innovate teaching methods, promote innovation and creativity in teaching; contributing to improving the quality of training and fostering staff of the Academy.
The contest is also an important basis for assessing the current status of the Academy's staff and lecturers, thereby helping leaders of affiliated units and the Academy have a more comprehensive view in developing training plans, fostering and improving the professional qualifications and skills of the teaching staff, meeting the requirements of educational innovation in the current period.
The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics expressed his hope that all contestants participating in the contest would demonstrate their best professional knowledge and teaching ability, bringing useful, effective and engaging lessons.
This is also a testament to the determination of each lecturer as well as the units of the Academy in innovating and improving the quality of training and fostering; so that each teaching hour, each class hour of the lecturers is truly a product of creative and innovative thinking in the direction of focusing on comprehensively developing the qualities and capacities of learners, taking learners as the center.
Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang requested the Jury to uphold the spirit of responsibility, objectivity, fair and impartial evaluation, to help the Academy's Board of Directors and the Organizing Committee to properly evaluate the quality of this competition, and draw lessons to better organize the next excellent lecturer competitions. The Organizing Committee needs to ensure the best conditions for the competition to take place smoothly, fairly and transparently.
