On April 28, at My Khanh Revolutionary Relic Site (Long Xuyen City), the City Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union of Long Xuyen City in coordination with the City Culture, Sports and Broadcasting Center, and My Khanh Commune Union organized a talk show "Proud of the heroic history - Following the steps of the youth of the new era".

Before starting the talk show to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), more than 130 union members, youth and students performed the incense offering ceremony and observed a minute of silence to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones to bring independence to the country.

In the solemn atmosphere of the seminar, the members and young people listened to the sharing of speaker Le Thanh Doan, former Deputy Political Commissar of the Military Command of Long Xuyen Town, a member of the Long Xuyen Special Forces. The emotional and heroic stories about the arduous fighting days, contributing to the historic victory of April 30, 1975, completely liberating the South and unifying the country, were recreated in a realistic and vivid way, arousing pride and deep gratitude in the hearts of each participant.

According to Long Xuyen City Youth Union Secretary Nguyen Khanh Hoang, through the activity, it contributesto educating revolutionary traditions, arousing patriotism, national pride and nurturing noble ideals for union members, youth and children. This is an opportunity for the city's youth to express their deep gratitude to previous generations who sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation; contributing to spreading the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" in the community, raising the sense of responsibility and dedication of young people to their homeland and country.
