Selecting contractors for the 17,000 billion VND "mega-project" infrastructure.

On September 13th, the People's Committee of Hai Phong City announced that the locality had selected the winning bidder for package No. 36, which involves the supply and complete installation of the air conditioning system for the City's Convention and Performance Center and the integrated technical infrastructure system in the North Song Cam Urban Area, worth over 150 billion VND.

Outbidding two other bidders, VMRC Joint Stock Company and the joint venture between BCA - Thang Long One-Member Limited Company and Nagakawa Group Joint Stock Company, the joint venture between Thang Long Vietnam Technology Engineering Limited Company and Post and Telecommunications Information Technology Joint Stock Company won package number 36. The contract duration for this package is 18 months.

The newspaper Nguoi Dua Tin published an article titled "Hai Phong: Completion of a 17,000 billion VND 'mega-project' in 2025". In it, it is projected that in 2025, Hai Phong City will move its administrative center from the inner city to the North Song Cam urban area.

To develop the North Song Cam urban area, Hai Phong City is investing in six projects, including: the technical infrastructure of the North Song Cam urban area; a wastewater treatment plant, traffic signal system and park; the technical infrastructure system for resettlement in North Song Cam; the political -administrative center; the conference-performance center; and the square in front of the political-administrative center.

The Hai Phong Urban Development and Civil Construction Investment Project Management Board was assigned by the Hai Phong City People's Committee to be the investor of the six aforementioned projects. The total investment capital for these projects is approximately 17,000 billion VND .
