(Chinhphu.vn) - Throughout the night of October 29, nearly 100 officers and soldiers of Division 315 and the people of Duy Nghia commune (Da Nang city) raced against time to urgently reinforce the eroded An Luong embankment.

On the evening of October 29, officers and soldiers of Division 315 continued to mobilize nearly 100 officers and soldiers along with local people to race against time to reinforce the embankment in the An Luong coastal area.

In recent days, due to the impact of natural disasters, the An Luong sea embankment area has been destroyed by dozens of meters of waves; on October 29, although the army and people have deployed response and remedial measures, the risk of landslides is still very high due to heavy rain, strong winds, and strong waves; seriously threatening the safety of people and traffic works.

To maintain the embankment, officers, soldiers and people "stayed up all night", transporting thousands of sandbags and rocks to reinforce the eroded banks.

Due to heavy rain, the roadbed was weak, and machinery was almost unable to enter, so the "patching" work depended largely on the army's strength.

Carrying out the mission in the rain, wind and strong waves, with clothes soaked, only having time to have dinner, but the officers and soldiers of the Division were urgent, timely present, side by side with the people to "stop the waves, protect the shore", ensuring the safety of hundreds of households in the An Luong coastal area.
