On October 3, according to VietNamnet reporters in Ha Long City, although damaged after storm No. 3, the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Center and Quang Ninh Provincial Museum have not been repaired yet.

When storm No. 3 made landfall, the roof of the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Center was blown away; the insulation foam underneath was also torn, with large pieces flying off; many tempered glass doors were broken... Due to damage to many items, this project had to close.

Meanwhile, the Quang Ninh Museum also had many tempered glass panels broken. The paths leading through the buildings were also damaged and had to be roped off to warn of danger.

Immediately after storm No. 3 passed, the Quang Ninh Museum Management Board had to temporarily suspend construction activities for 20 days to overcome the consequences, some places were temporarily patched with black plastic sheets.

Mr. Do Quyet Tien - Director of Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Center, Quang Ninh Provincial Museum said that the issue of repairing the above works is related to legal regulations and investment and repair procedures must be followed step by step.

Regarding the damage to the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Center, specialized units such as the Provincial Civil and Industrial Construction Investment Project Management Board or the Department of Construction must be responsible for assessing and reviewing the damage and then formulating investment and repair plans.

According to Mr. Tien, Quang Ninh Museum had nearly 400 square meters of tempered glass broken, causing damage of about 4 billion VND, but had previously purchased construction insurance, so now it is only waiting for the completion of procedures to be completely repaired.

"The two buildings have suffered preliminary damage of about 70 billion VND. There is no shortage of materials for repairs, but we are just waiting for the authorities to review and inspect them in accordance with legal regulations. The Quang Ninh Museum opened its doors to visitors on September 30," said Mr. Tien.

It is known that the total investment in building the Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace is 1,000 billion VND, and the Quang Ninh Museum is 990 billion VND.
