Reason why female Chairman of Nhon Trach district is being considered for disciplinary action

On June 13, the Inspection Committee of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee held its 39th session, term XI, to approve a number of Party inspection, supervision, and disciplinary cases in the province.

Here, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission considered the proposal to discipline Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang Huong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Nhon Trach District People's Committee. This female chairwoman of the district once caused a stir when she was scammed out of more than 170 billion VND.

Accordingly, based on Conclusion No. 53-KL/UBKTTU, dated May 6, 2024 of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission on verifying assets and income of comrade Nguyen Thi Giang Huong, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nhon Trach District, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has organized a review, considered responsibilities, and proposed disciplinary action against comrade Nguyen Thi Giang Huong.

Through review, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission found that Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang Huong had shortcomings, violated dishonest asset declaration, violated the Regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do; the Law on Anti-Corruption and Regulation 69-QD/TW of the Politburo (term XIII) on disciplining Party organizations and violating Party members.

The Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission has considered and recommended that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee decide to discipline Ms. Nguyen Thi Giang Huong according to its authority.

Previously, in March 2024, Ms. Huong was defrauded of more than 170 billion VND by a group of scammers. Ms. Huong reported the case to the police. Currently, the police are investigating and clarifying the case.

Also at the meeting, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission considered the proposal to discipline Mr. Le Huu Dang, a Party member with Party activities at Ward 5 Party Cell, Trang Bom Town Party Committee, Trang Bom District (former District Party Committee member, former Vice Chairman of Trang Bom District People's Committee, term 2016-2021; former Head of the District Economic Department; former Head of the District Economic Infrastructure Department; former Head of the District Urban Management Department from May 2008 to April 2013).

The Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission concluded that Mr. Le Huu Dang had shortcomings and violations related to the field of construction order management, causing serious consequences.

The Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission proposed that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee decide to discipline Mr. Le Huu Dang according to its authority.
