During the floods at the end of October, high waves hitting the shore caused severe erosion in many sections of An Bang beach, which were at risk of spreading. In order to prevent further erosion and landslides when storm No. 13 made landfall, military officers, soldiers and people actively transported hundreds of sandbags to build embankments, raise vulnerable points, and create temporary barriers to limit the impact of big waves and high tides.
