Bringing a coffin into an illegal construction site and hanging a charity sign

On the evening of August 20, Mr. Tran Tan Cong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tran Van Thoi District ( Ca Mau ), confirmed with Thanh Nien reporter that a household in Song Doc Town brought a coffin into their illegal construction site, hanging a sign "charity coffin camp".

Previously, at around 11:00 p.m. on August 12, Mr. NTL (residing in Hamlet 5, Song Doc Town, Tran Van Thoi District) illegally constructed a structure within the land area reserved for roads and encroached on non -agricultural land in the urban area managed by the Song Doc Town People's Committee. The construction area is 45.9 m wide and 6.2 m deep; the structure is made of iron frame, corrugated iron roof, concrete floor, and B40 mesh fence.

"Immediately after discovering the violation, the Chairman of Song Doc Town People's Committee made a record and a file to handle the violation against Mr. L. At the same time, he checked and reviewed his previous violations. If there were conditions for criminal prosecution, Song Doc Town People's Committee would transfer the file to the District Police for handling according to regulations. However, on the night of August 18 and early morning of August 19, Mr. L. again brought the coffin to the above-mentioned violating construction and attached a sign saying it was a charity coffin camp," said a leader of Song Doc Town People's Committee.

According to the above leader, Mr. L. had prepared materials in advance and welded the house frame in advance, so he completed the row of houses in just one night.

Specifically, on the morning of August 19, Song Doc Town People's Committee discovered that Mr. L. had hung a sign "charity coffin farm" and placed two coffins at the above-mentioned illegal construction site.

During the investigation, Mr. L. admitted that he was the one who placed the signboard and placed the two boxes for charity purposes. At the same time, he did not agree to remove the signboard and move the two boxes out of the illegal construction site.

"I have directed the People's Committee of Song Doc Town to continue to make a record of Mr. L.; at the same time, request him to move the two boxes out of that area. We are determined to seriously and thoroughly handle the above illegal construction project," Mr. Tran Tan Cong affirmed.

According to the People's Committee of Song Doc Town, Mr. L.'s illegal construction violated the following: illegal construction of other works within the land area reserved for roads as prescribed in Clause 5, Article 12 of Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 of the Government on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of road and railway traffic; encroachment of non-agricultural land in urban areas with an area of less than 0.05 ha as prescribed in Clause 5, Article 14 of Decree No. 91/2019/ND-CP dated November 19, 2019 of the Government on administrative sanctions for violations in the field of land.
