Fast spread, wide reach
Recently, in order to innovate propaganda about traffic safety order in the context of the digital age, the traffic police force nationwide has proactively innovated the content and form of propaganda, especially creating channels and social networking sites to enhance communication with people and convey legal education messages.
According to statistics from the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security , from July 17 to August 3, the hotline for receiving information about traffic safety and order of Major General Do Thanh Binh, Director of the Traffic Police Department, received 224 general reports on violations in localities, 281 reports on specific violations, 47 reports on inadequacies in traffic organization, 15 reports on traffic accidents... Most of the information and images were sent to social network accounts.
In Dong Nai, in the first 6 months of 2025, the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police has systematically and drastically deployed propaganda activities on digital platforms. Specifically, on the official Facebook page of the unit, 487 news articles and 58 video clips were posted, spreading messages in a visual and vivid way. On the Zalo platform, 114 news articles were shared with a large number of people. In addition, the Provincial Police website is regularly updated with 181 articles, emphasizing new regulations on traffic laws.
The leader of the Provincial Traffic Police Department assessed: Propaganda through mass media and social networks is highly effective. This approach helps information to be transmitted quickly, multi-dimensionally and highly interactively. The posted content is not only simply legal propaganda, but also incorporates real images, video simulations of situations, violation statistics or positive images in handling and supporting people.
Along with digital propaganda, the Provincial Police Traffic Police Department still maintains and innovates traditional methods. In the first 6 months of the year, there were 444 live propaganda sessions, attracting more than 40,800 participants, combined with leaflet distribution and situation simulation.
The Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security said: All information after being received and processed will be made public on the Traffic Police Department's website, on Facebook and other information channels for people to follow and grasp. For information reflecting traffic violations, we will focus on verification, if there is sufficient basis, we will strictly handle according to regulations. For information reflecting inadequacies in traffic organization, we will organize verification, remedy and recommend considering the responsibility of related individuals and organizations.
For safety on every road
Traffic safety propaganda on digital platforms has brought clear benefits and created expectations. Typically, the ability to reach a wide and diverse audience, high interactivity and strong spread, diverse and memorable content, etc.
Not only that, thanks to its rapid spread, people can reflect traffic violations with images and videos via social networks, creating a widespread community monitoring network. This helps authorities handle violations promptly, while raising people's responsibility and awareness in building a safe traffic environment.
Typically, in April 2025, the Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai Province Police drew up a record of many traffic violations thanks to clips and images provided by the people, receiving high support. Specifically, on the afternoon of April 6, the unit drew up an administrative violation record for a female driver of VNHT for driving a pickup truck in the wrong direction on Ho Thi Huong Street (Long Khanh Ward). Previously, on the afternoon of April 3, driver HMĐ. was drawn up a violation record for driving a truck in the wrong direction on National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Commune).
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat (residing in Tran Bien ward) said: “I hope that the propaganda on digital platforms will bring about breakthrough results, contributing to building traffic safety awareness in the community. Through analyzing the causes of accidents, the propaganda content will focus on specific violations. People will be more aware of the consequences of these behaviors, thereby changing their behavior from the root.”
Colonel Tran Anh Son, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police, commented: Propaganda on social networks will increase people's awareness and compliance. Thereby, it will change the culture of traffic participation, aiming to contribute to reducing traffic accidents, as well as reducing congestion at "hot spots".
In mid-July 2025, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Trong Thuy , Head of the Traffic Police Department of Dong Nai Provincial Police, announced a phone number connected to integrated social networks (Zalo, Viber, Facebook) to receive information, comments, and recommendations on traffic safety. The hotline has helped the authorities expand their "extended arms" to promptly and effectively handle issues arising in ensuring traffic safety and order.
Promoting traffic safety on social networks in Dong Nai is not just a temporary trend, but a strategic move, suitable for the digital age. With the combination of traditional and modern forms, Dong Nai is building an effective traffic control solution, contributing to safety on all roads of the province.
