Nam Dinh Provincial Front allocates additional 8.4 billion VND to overcome consequences of natural disasters

On September 20, information from the Fatherland Front Committee of Nam Dinh province said that Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Head of the Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee Tran Minh Thang has just signed 2 decisions to allocate the Storm and Flood Support Fund and the Relief Fund to support people in 9 districts and cities in the province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3; support the provincial armed forces to carry out storm and flood prevention work.

Of which, the provincial Fatherland Front allocated 8 billion VND (5 billion VND from the Central Front's support source; 3 billion VND from the support source of organizations and individuals in the province) to support Nam Dinh City with 2 billion VND; support Nam Truc, Y Yen, Vu Ban, Truc Ninh districts with 1 billion VND each; support Xuan Truong, Giao Thuy, Hai Hau, Nghia Hung districts with 500 million VND each.

For the armed forces, the provincial Fatherland Front supports the provincial police with 200 million VND; the provincial military command with 200 million VND.

Previously, in the first phase, the provincial Fatherland Front also spent 8 billion VND to support 9 districts and cities in the province to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, the support level for each unit is equivalent to the second phase.

Heavy rains and floods caused many rice fields in Nam Dinh to be deeply flooded.
Storm No. 3 and floods caused much damage to agricultural production in Nam Dinh province.
