In response to Vietnam Cyber Security Day on August 6, Meta launched the campaign "Identify Fraud 2025" with the theme "Can you believe it?".

This year's campaign focuses on raising awareness and equipping people with skills to identify seven common forms of fraud today, including: text message fraud; romance fraud; investment fraud; identity fraud; online shopping fraud; job fraud; and account hijacking fraud.

An interactive game will be introduced to convey anti-fraud knowledge in a visual form, simulating common situations to help users improve their recognition and analysis skills.

In 2024, many social media platforms took action to control violating content, including removing tens of thousands of scam links in Vietnam and millions of impersonating and scamming accounts in Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Some technologies such as facial recognition are also being tested to detect fake accounts and prevent fraudulent advertising.
