On the afternoon of November 12, Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Head of Weather Forecasting Department, National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, shared that from November 16 to 21, there is a forecast of strong cold air affecting the northern and central provinces. Due to the influence of the cold air, the weather in the northern provinces and from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh will be cold. In particular, the high mountainous areas of the northern provinces are likely to have frost.
Due to the influence of strong cold air, the northern East Sea area (including Hoang Sa special zone) has strong northeast winds of level 7, in some places level 8, gusting to level 9 - 10. Waves are 3 - 5 m high, and the sea is rough.

In the Gulf of Tonkin, the northeast wind is likely to strengthen to level 6 - 7, gusting to level 8 - 9. Waves are 2.5 - 3.5 m high, and the sea is rough.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from the night of November 15, due to the influence of strong cold air combined with high-altitude easterly wind disturbances, 7 provinces and cities in the Central region, including: Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa are likely to experience a widespread heavy rain, lasting for many days.
In particular, the heavy to very heavy rain areas are concentrated from Hue - Da Nang, the east of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting will continue to closely monitor and regularly inform about dangerous weather and hydrological conditions that are at high risk of occurring in the period from November 16 to 22.
