At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the tradition, honored and recognized the important contributions of the nursing team to the development of the province's health sector. The units also had many discussions related to nursing expertise and work.
Lao Cai Province's Health Sector currently has more than 3,212 dedicated and experienced nursing, midwifery and medical technicians. Currently, 100% of hospitals have established Nursing Councils and developed operating regulations, assigning specific tasks to members. The average nurse/doctor ratio is 1.8/1; 13 units have more than 2 nurses/doctor.

In the first 9 months of 2025, the entire industry organized 206 professional training courses with more than 7,300 staff attending, focusing on essential contents such as anaphylaxis first aid, safe injection, infection control, medical waste management and communication and behavioral skills in the medical environment. Professional activities for nurses, midwives and technicians are maintained regularly in all units; many hospitals organize inter-hospital thematic activities, sharing experiences in patient care. The results of the survey on patient and medical staff satisfaction in the first 9 months of the year show that the overall satisfaction rate of patients is high: 96.2% for inpatients, 93.3% for outpatients and 94% for medical staff.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Pham Bich Van, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the nursing team in the provincial health sector. To continue to promote and improve the activities of the nursing team in patient care and improve treatment effectiveness, he requested that leaders of units pay attention to and coordinate in directing nursing activities according to regulations; Improve the management and leadership capacity of nurses at all levels; Ensure the quantity and improve the quality of nursing human resources; Strengthen the application of information technology in nursing work...
As part of the series of activities to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Vietnam Nursing Day (October 26, 1990 - October 26, 2025), in the afternoon of the same day, the Department of Health organized a sports exchange in Pickleball and Tug of War between medical units. At the end of the exchange, the Department of Health awarded 01 first prize, 01 second prize, 02 third prizes, 08 consolation prizes for Pickleball; Tug of War was 01 first prize, 01 second prize, 02 third prizes, 04 consolation prizes.
