Inauguration of the inpatient treatment building of Bao Thang Regional General Hospital

On the afternoon of October 24, Lao Cai Provincial Department of Health held an inauguration ceremony for the inpatient treatment building of Bao Thang Regional General Hospital.

According to Decision No. 922/QD-UBND dated April 21, 2023 of the Provincial People's Committee on approving the Investment Project to construct the Bao Thang General Hospital Upgrade Phase 2, the inpatient treatment building is built with a scale of 8 floors, total floor area of ​​nearly 7,000 m², modern design, ensuring technical standards of a class II hospital.

The building's functional items include a waiting area, diagnostic imaging, and emergency departments, pediatrics, internal medicine, interdisciplinary departments, traditional medicine and rehabilitation departments.

The total investment of the project is 75 billion VND, of which 45 billion VND comes from the central budget under the Socio- Economic Recovery and Development Program, the rest comes from the provincial budget.

Putting the project into use is an important step in the roadmap to improve the capacity of grassroots health care; contributing to reducing the burden on provincial hospitals, while creating favorable conditions for people in Bao Thang commune cluster and neighboring areas to access high-quality medical services; contributing to improving the quality of medical examination, treatment and health care for the people.
