Ceremony to welcome veteran artists to Thi Nghe Nursing Home on the morning of February 27
People's Artist Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, spoke
In recent times, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City have always paid attention to and directed departments, branches, the Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, and the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Association to support the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Nursing Home, and the artists here have been well taken care of. However, after many years of use, the facilities of the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Nursing Home have deteriorated, and there are no conditions to take care of the artists when they are sick or ill. Therefore, the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City have decided to transfer the elderly artists to the Thi Nghe Nursing Home.
The Ho Chi Minh City Artist Retirement Center belongs to the Artists' Association, Ho Chi Minh City Theater Association, established in 1994, stemming from the passion and contributions of People's Artist Phung Ha and co-founders; receiving attention and support from leaders at all levels and many generations of artists; audiences and philanthropists regularly visit, considering this a destination bearing the distinctive mark of the traditional morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking" of artists in particular and Ho Chi Minh City in general.
