This morning (September 5), Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade held the opening ceremony of the new school year 2025-2026. In the atmosphere of 80 years of tradition in the education sector, this opening ceremony was more special than every year when delegates, guests, and students saluted the flag and listened to the speech of General Secretary To Lam with the whole country.
The school rewards the valedictorians and salutatorians in this year's admissions.

Sharing at the opening ceremony, Dr. Bui Hong Dang, Vice Chairman in charge of the School Council, said: “The school always listens, understands and sympathizes with the thoughts and wishes of parents sending their students to study at the school. With the 3 no policy: no tuition increase during the course, no additional fees outside of tuition, no leaving difficult circumstances behind are the consistent policies of the school in the past school years and will continue to be implemented in the coming school years."
In the 2025 enrollment period, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade recorded a record high number of candidates registering for admission with 178,294 wishes (2.5 times higher than last year).

At the opening ceremony, the school honored the valedictorians, salutatorians, and top students with high scores in this year's admissions. Among them, the school's valedictorian was Trieu Thi Mai Trang, admitted to the tourism and travel services management major. The two salutatorians were Giang Thi Che (tourism and travel services management major) and Vo Nhat Huy (restaurant and food service management major).
Within the framework of the opening ceremony, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade received many scholarships from businesses with a total value of nearly 3.5 billion VND.
