Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions, many socio -economic development indicators in the district increased compared to the same period, such as: the number of enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups increased by 125%; labor shift from agriculture to non-agriculture increased by 17%; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 15.1%; industrial production value increased by 9.8%.
In agricultural production, the district directed and guided people to take good care of existing crop areas; completed planting 1,671 hectares of winter-spring rice, reaching 100% of the plan; planted 4,250 hectares of spring-summer corn, reaching 100% of the plan. The total main livestock herd was 93,500, reaching 91.7% of the plan; the total output of fresh meat of all kinds reached 2,200 tons, reaching 44% of the plan, up 6.8% over the same period.
In the new rural construction, the district has organized the launching ceremony to recognize Cung 11 village as meeting the new rural village standards; consolidating 9.5km of rural roads, reaching 13.6% of the plan.
The value of industrial and handicraft production reached 287 billion VND, reaching 44.2% of the plan, up 9.8% over the same period. Total retail sales of goods and consumer services reached 298 billion VND, reaching 45.8% of the plan, up 15.1% over the same period. The district continues to implement solutions and tasks to improve the indexes of enhancing the district competitiveness index (DDCI) and the administrative reform index; implementing policies to support enterprises and cooperatives according to the Resolutions of the Provincial People's Council. In the first 5 months of the year, the district newly established 04/06 cooperatives, reaching 66.7% of the plan; 32/70 cooperative groups reaching 45.7% of the plan.
The cultural and social fields have received attention and focus, the qualityof education has changed a lot; the work of disease prevention and health care for the people has been promoted; the quality of cultural, artistic and sports activities has been improved; solutions to stimulate tourism have been well organized.
The district has stepped up the implementation of the Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025 for poor households, near-poor households and policy families. As of May 15, 2025, the district has started construction on 771/771 houses (including 627 new houses and 144 repairs). Of these, 754 houses have been completed, reaching 97.8%.
National defense and security were strengthened; social order and safety were maintained. The implementation of the Project on rearranging and reorganizing administrative units at all levels and building a two-level local government model was carried out seriously and urgently, ensuring progress and quality according to the set requirements.
To achieve the above results, Mu Cang Chai district has closely followed the direction and orientation of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, directed agencies, units, communes and towns to continue focusing on implementing tasks and solutions according to Action Program No. 246-CTr/TU dated December 6, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee, Action Program No. 02/CTr-UBND dated January 18, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, Decision No. 181/QD-UBND dated February 2, 2025 of the Provincial People's Committee, Plan No. 235-KH/HU dated December 20, 2024 of the District Party Committee, Resolutions of the District People's Council and directive and executive documents of the District People's Committee.
To complete the targets and tasks in June 2025, the District will continue to resolutely and effectively implement tasks and solutions according to the programs and plans set out by the province and the district; focus on effectively implementing 03 National Target Programs; accelerate the disbursement of capital for works and projects, ensuring the target of disbursement of investment capital in accordance with the direction of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; fully, promptly and effectively implement social security policies; promote digital transformation and administrative reform to improve the investment and business environment; continue to tighten discipline and work discipline; promote the role and uphold the responsibility of setting an example for the heads of agencies and units; focus highly on implementing the policy of arranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus, focusing on deploying and thoroughly handling related contents and tasks to ensure smooth, timely and uninterrupted work resolution...
