In recent times, implementing the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, the Yen Bai Provincial Women's Union and the Tran Yen District Party Committee, the Tran Yen District Women's Union has identified collective economic development as one of the key tasks. Thereby, gradually improving the lives of members, promoting internal strength, affirming the role and position of women in local socio-economic development.
In the period of 2020 - 2025, the District Women's Union has promoted propaganda on the 2023 Law on Cooperatives and related policies; mobilized members to actively participate in collective economic models, converting crops and livestock according to the district's key economic development orientation.
To date, the Association has mobilized and supported the establishment of 174 cooperative groups and 34 cooperatives led by women. These models have helped 255 women start their own businesses; developed 166 women's economic models with an income of 200 - 500 million VND/year. Effective cooperatives such as: Viet Hai Dang Cooperative (Quy Mong Commune) producing vermicelli; Minh Tien Safe Vegetable Cooperative (Y Can Commune); Khe Ngay Agricultural and Forestry Products Trading Cooperative (Bao Hung Commune); Hanh Le Mulberry Cooperative (Thanh Thinh Commune) ... have created stable jobs and increased income for hundreds of female workers in the locality.
The association has also connected 10 enterprises, cooperatives, and cooperative groups to participate in value chain production, apply information technology, digital transformation, connect women's products with e-commerce platforms, and expand consumption markets. Regarding capital support, nearly 20 billion VND in preferential loans have been disbursed through the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies. At the same time, 360 members have been trained in management and start-up skills; more than 1,770 female workers have received vocational training.
These results were achieved thanks to the leadership of Party committees and authorities, and the proactive participation of the Women's Union at all levels in promoting internal resources and building models that are closely related to local realities. In particular, the effective implementation of Project 435 of the Provincial People's Committee on supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers by 2030 is an important foundation for collective economic models to continue to develop sustainably, contributing to the successful implementation of the socio-economic development goals of Tran Yen district.
