Accordingly, a total of 5 households in Khuoi Tau village, Cao Thuong commune, purchased this rice variety and planted it on an area of ​​4,050 square meters.

Mr. NVL ordered these unusual rice seeds via Facebook. The seeds were packaged in bags with foreign language labels and the serial number VST 899. After placing the order, the seller delivered them to his home.

The Ba Be District Agricultural Service Center conducted an inspection, and the results showed that the area planted with the unfamiliar rice variety mostly did not flower, with some areas only flowering sporadically.

Unable to harvest the crop despite the hard work put into planting and caring for the plants, the villagers had no choice but to let their buffaloes graze in the fields.

According to the Ba Be District Agricultural Service Center, this unusual rice variety is not included in the production plan of Bac Kan province or Ba Be district.

The reason the rice plants didn't flower could be because this variety is sensitive to short day length. This variety can only be planted during the main cropping season, but farmers planted it in the spring, resulting in no harvest.
