
In central wards such as Thanh Khe, Hoa Cuong and Cam Le, many roads were flooded from 20 to 50 cm, making it difficult for people to travel. On Au Co Street (Lien Chieu Ward), the water rose nearly half a meter high, flowing rapidly, making it impossible for vehicles to move.
In the Me Suot Street area (Hoa Khanh Ward), hundreds of households had to move their belongings and vehicles out of the flooded area which was over half a meter deep. Many belongings and equipment were not moved in time and were soaked by the water due to the rapid rise in water level. Major roads such as Nguyen Huu Tho, Nui Thanh, Trung Nu Vuong and 2/9 were also partially flooded, many people had to turn around and find another way.
According to local residents, water levels rose rapidly in low-lying areas. Some households said they had proactively raised furniture and moved their belongings to the attic to prevent flooding.
Mr. Le Van Chau in Me Suot Street area said that the water flooded quickly from 6am, in less than 1 hour it was more than half a meter deep. "Although I proactively raised the furniture, many items and machines were still wet because the water rose faster and deeper than expected," said Mr. Chau.
Chairman of Hoa Khanh Ward People's Committee Huynh Anh Vu said that in the morning, the ward mobilized militia, police and youth forces to assist people in moving their belongings out of flooded areas; at the same time, organized and deployed measures to put up warning lines in flooded areas, clear the flow and monitor weather developments to promptly respond to subsequent developments.

According to the forecast of the Central Hydrometeorological Station, today, November 3, the cold air continues to strengthen and will affect Da Nang city. From the night of November 3 to the end of the night of November 4, in the communes and wards in the northern part of the city, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain to very heavy rain with common rainfall from 120 - 280mm, some places over 350mm; in the southern area, some places over 400mm.
Currently, the flood on Vu Gia - Thu Bon River and Tam Ky River is rising rapidly. In the next 12 - 24 hours, the flood on Vu Gia - Thu Bon River will continue to remain at a level below Alert Level 3; Han River and Tam Ky River will be at Alert Level 2 to above Alert Level 2.
