At the workshop, experts from DNV – the world’s leading Norwegian group in risk management and quality assurance – presented in-depth content on clean energy technologies such as offshore wind power, green hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, as well as digital solutions in risk management and operational optimization. These technical and strategic analyses aim to support Vietnam in realizing its commitment to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
Mr. Brice Le Gallo, Vice President of DNV Asia Pacific , shared: “Vietnam’s commendable renewable energy ambitions are shaping the country’s future as a green energy hub in the region. DNV is committed to accompanying and sharing in-depth knowledge to accelerate the process of efficient and sustainable energy transition."
Mr. Hagsung Kim, Vice President of Global Business Development at DNV, affirmed: “Vietnam is opening up a large space for innovation. DNV will leverage its experience and digital solutions to turn complex technical data into effective and safe decisions, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's leading role in the development of clean energy in the region."
On the Vietnamese side, Mr. Tran Hoai Trang, Deputy Director of the Electricity Authority, said that Vietnam is entering a pivotal phase of the energy transition process. Although facing challenges in energy security, domestic supply shortages and increasing import pressure, this is also an important opportunity to build a solid foundation for green and sustainable growth.
The workshop is not only a forum for knowledge sharing but also a strategic step in connecting stakeholders to build substantive partnerships, thereby contributing to promoting Vietnam's energy transition process faster, deeper and more effectively in the coming time.
