Actual measurements from the meteorological agency show that many places in the South have temperatures dropping below 19 degrees Celsius this morning. Mainly at stations in the Southeast region such as Phuoc Long ( Binh Phuoc ), Ta Lai, Long Khanh (Dong Nai), Tay Ninh, etc. In addition, some places in the provinces and cities of the Southwest region this morning also had the lowest temperature below 20 degrees Celsius, some places below 19 degrees Celsius.
According to the Southern Hydrometeorological Station, the continental cold high pressure (cold air) continues to weaken slowly. Above, the subtropical high pressure over the South Central region is operating at a stable intensity. The Northeast wind is strong over the sea in the Southeast region.

The Meteorological Agency forecasts that the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces and cities will continue to be cold in the coming days. |
It is forecasted that from January 14 to 15, cold air will strengthen again in the north of our country. The subtropical high pressure system with an axis through the Central region will continue to maintain. Around January 15 to 16, the upper-level easterly wind disturbance (causing rain) will be weak in the South.
Based on the above main weather patterns, the Southern Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that the weather in Ho Chi Minh City and other southern provinces and cities will continue to be cold in the coming days. The cause of this temperature drop is that cold air continues to strengthen and diffuse to the South.
“Decreased humidity, reduced air quality, and chilly weather at night and early morning can potentially affect human health,” the Southern Hydrometeorological Station warned.
