On March 4, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (LĐ-TB&XH) of Da Nang City said it had received information about a foreign male tourist holding a sign asking for money on the streets of Da Nang.
Accordingly, this tourist held a sign that read " I am traveling without money. Please support my trip ". This incident caused a lot of controversy because Da Nang is a city that "says no" to wandering beggars.

According to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang City, this male tourist is a Russian national and has a tourist visa in Vietnam until March 14. Through verification and investigation, the Department noted that in recent days, during the day, this male tourist held a sign and went to crowded streets to beg for money, and at night, he went to some bars.
Notably, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs once worked with this tourist when they discovered him begging for money in the middle of the street. Despite requests for assistance, this tourist did not respond.
The Department has reminded the male tourist not to repeat the act of asking for money, and requested the districts to monitor him. If this tourist continues to hold a sign asking for money, it is recommended that relevant units such as the Immigration Department of Da Nang City Police, the Department of Foreign Affairs, etc. coordinate to handle the case.
