Improving the capacity to use digital maps to pay for forest environmental services

Mr. Huynh Duc, Director of the Forest Protection and Development Fund of Quang Nam province, said that the training course aims to improve capacity and management of digital maps to serve the payment of forest environmental services for technical staff of forest management boards and staff of communes implementing payment of forest environmental services.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Trung, Deputy Head of Technical Planning Department - Forest Protection and Development Fund of Quang Nam province spoke at the training class.

Participating in the training course, delegates were instructed and improved their professional skills on many important contents such as instructions on using Mapinfo for the purpose of determining the payment area and building a DVMTR payment map; instructions on using Qgis software (basic); specific instructions on each step of implementation on Mapinfo to determine the DVMTR payment area; instructions on exporting forest patrol data for patrol teams;...

Many technical staff of Forest Management Boards and People's Committees of communes that carry out forest environmental service payments attended the training course.

As planned, the training course will take place over 5 days, from June 2-6, 2025.
