He laid the foundation for Vietnam's modern comprehensive diplomacy.
According to the Deputy Minister, in the context of deep integration and the era of national development, the construction of Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces at Vietnamese representative agencies abroad is not only a cultural diplomacy activity to pay tribute to his great contributions, but also to convey the image of Vietnam as innovative, integrated, dynamic, creative and responsible. These spaces will be a bridge between tradition and modernity, between Vietnamese people at home and abroad, between Vietnam and the world, spreading Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in emotional and intimate forms.
In her opening remarks, Ambassador Le Thi Hong Van, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy, said that in recent times, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has coordinated with local departments, ministries, branches, individuals, organizations and a network of more than 90 Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to carry out many activities honoring President Ho Chi Minh across continents, receiving support from countries, with diverse forms such as erecting statues, naming streets, organizing exhibitions, screening documentary films, building memorial rooms and cultural exchanges. However, in the new context, standardizing the content and methods of implementing Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces abroad has become urgent, in order to improve efficiency, interactivity and suitability for each host country.
