758 technology solutions from individuals and domestic enterprises, countries and territories such as the US, Korea, Singapore, Philippines, Hong Kong, and Taiwan participated in the Vietnam Innovation Challenge Program 2023.

The information was announced by the National Innovation Center (NIC), Ministry of Planning and Investment at the Vietnam Innovation Solutions 2023 Announcement Ceremony, organized by this agency in coordination with Meta Group on September 8.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung affirmed that the number of technological solutions participating in the Vietnam Innovation Challenge program shows that the intellectual resources and creative capacity of Vietnamese people are extremely large and very proud.

These are digital solutions for businesses, helping to improve management capacity and strengthen connections and cooperation between domestic and foreign businesses.

Mr. Dung believes that hundreds of technology solutions participating in the program are a promising step to connect the public sector, the private sector and other socio-economic components to form, test and implement innovative initiatives, contributing to increasing business productivity and promoting sustainable economic development in Vietnam.

Representing the coordinating agency of the Vietnam Innovation Challenge program, Mr. Simon Milner, Vice President of Meta Group, in charge of public policy in the Asia- Pacific region, said the program focuses on four main goals.

That is to improve the management capacity of small and medium enterprises; strengthen the connection between FDI enterprises, large corporations and local small and medium enterprises.

Apply digital transformation solutions to enhance the position of small and medium enterprises in the global value chain; create effective connections between the government and businesses through digital platforms.

From 758 technology solutions participating in the Vietnam Innovation Challenge program, the organizing committee selected 12 outstanding innovation solutions to award the program's 12 highest awards.

According to NIC, these 12 typical innovative solutions represent 3 groups participating in the program, including: large corporations and enterprises; innovative small and medium enterprises and start-ups and innovative projects.

In particular, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group won the Digital Innovation Award with its digital transformation platform - oneSME.

FPT Information System Company Limited won the Innovation Star award with its process automation product with virtual robot assistant (RPA) - FPT akaBot.

MISA Joint Stock Company won the Comprehensive Innovation Award with its unified enterprise management platform - MISA AMIS.

The Vietnam Innovation Challenge Program is organized annually by the Ministry of Planning and Investment. The theme of the program in 2024 is innovation with businesses to promote the semiconductor industry and smart manufacturing to conquer the global market.
