Last year, the program provided more than 2,000 free screenings and 200 financial support packages to high-risk patients. Building on that success, this year the program aims to continue providing free cancer screenings to 2,010 vulnerable women nationwide to celebrate the 95th anniversary of Vietnamese Women’s Day, October 20, 2025.

Cancer is becoming a serious problem for women in Vietnam, in which the most common cancers include breast cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and thyroid cancer. Notably, up to 50-80% of patients are diagnosed with cancer at a late stage, making treatment less effective.

Among them, cervical cancer - with its close relationship with HPV - is particularly worrying, as it is estimated that nearly 85% of people are at risk of being infected with HPV at least once in their lifetime. These figures show the urgency of early cancer screening to significantly improve treatment outcomes and help women proactively protect their health.

Napas, Mastercard, Payoo organize the third year of the social security program "Touch and share, Give hope"

The program was initiated in 2023 with the name: "Touch to pay, send thousands of loves" and was renamed "Touch to share, Give hope" in 2024. Over the years, the program has been providing practical, scientific and community-oriented health care support for women.

Entering the third year, the program has been upgraded with many new, more practical and meaningful features. Specifically, instead of screening for thyroid cancer like last year, NAPAS, Mastercard and Payoo have chosen to focus on HPV testing - an important screening method to help detect the risk of cervical cancer early.

The program's target group is also extended to vulnerable women such as female street laborers, street vendors, housekeepers, workers... aged 30-50 who are temporarily residing in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Especially single mothers with young children. These are all groups of women at risk of the above cancers but lack the conditions and adequate attention to health. Through this screening activity, women can proactively grasp their health status and perform more in-depth tests when necessary.

To carry out the campaign, NAPAS, Mastercard and Payoo continue to aim to turn every card tap, every small step into motivation to continue writing the story of sustainable health for Vietnamese women.

Accordingly, each transaction using NAPAS or Mastercard cards at payment acceptance points associated with Payoo will contribute 2,010 VND; each completed kilometer in the online race "Run for a Healthy Life" will continue to contribute an additional 2,010 VND; for the live race launched by the Organizing Committee at the school, each kilometer will correspond to 20,100 VND. All will be used to support cancer screening and free HPV testing, providing health care opportunities for women who do not have the conditions to visit a doctor.

The race is launched directly at schools, each kilometer will correspond to 2,010 VND donated to the program.

The campaign also launched a series of community activities on both digital platforms and live events. Notably, the online discussion on “Early cancer screening: A proactive journey for health” is worth noting. The program brings together medical experts, psychologists and beneficiaries to spread medical knowledge, help the community understand the importance of early cancer screening, encourage a healthy lifestyle and build the habit of regular health check-ups.

In addition, there is the “Run for a Healthy Life” sports activity, an initiative that combines digital running and live races held at universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This effort not only encourages young people to cultivate a healthy lifestyle but also conveys a message of community responsibility in joining hands to care for the health of disadvantaged women.

Sharing about the significance of the program, Mr. Nguyen Dang Hung, Deputy General Director of Vietnam National Payment Joint Stock Company NAPAS said: “As a national retail payment infrastructure provider, for many years NAPAS has always promoted social responsibility, spreading human values through every action. Through each touch transaction, we hope to work with our partners to contribute practical and meaningful things to the community, especially vulnerable groups - those who need to be shared and given hope. We believe that the connection from payment to the heart will create positive changes, towards a developed, healthy and compassionate society”.

“Doing well by doing good” has always been Mastercard’s philosophy, reflecting how businesses care about the world we live in - bringing positive impacts to people and communities. Mastercard is honored to continue to cooperate with NAPAS and Payoo to implement this meaningful initiative to raise awareness about the importance of early cancer screening, while providing completely free screening and HPV testing packages to thousands of vulnerable women. This initiative not only gives women the opportunity to live their lives to the fullest and explore their potential, but also gives cardholders the opportunity to contribute and create positive, long-term impacts for the vulnerable groups of society,” said Mr. Sharad Jain, Country Manager of Mastercard in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

Payoo representative, Mr. Ngo Trung Linh, General Director of Viet Community Online Services Joint Stock Company, the developer of the Payoo payment platform, emphasized: “Payoo always considers the mission of spreading human values as an indispensable part of its development strategy. We are proud to accompany NAPAS and Mastercard to not only promote digital society and digital economy in Vietnam but also pioneer in becoming a bridge so that every daily transaction of people at the network of linked payment points contributes to continuing the journey of healthy and happy lives for Vietnamese women.”

Banking University students participate in the program "Run for a Healthy Life"

The program "Touch and share, Give hope" hopes to continue to receive the response and support from the people, the business community and social organizations, including socio-political organizations, partner hospitals as well as partner units, banks, retailers, universities, etc. to together create positive changes, improve the quality of life for thousands of disadvantaged women, and spread the spirit of compassion and love to the community.
