This weekend, the first ever Thanh Tra Festival organized by Vinh Long province will take place in Dong Thanh commune (Binh Minh town), the "capital" of Thanh Tra tea cultivation. Locals are excited to sample 135 dishes made from Thanh Tra tea and hope this will be an opportunity for the specialty Thanh Tra tea to become more widely known and develop sustainably.

Besides sour pomelo, in recent years, tourists have also become aware of sweet pomelo, thanks to the diligent research and development of a farmer named Mr. Nam Cap. Sweet pomelo is more palatable and popular with tourists, and its cultivation is being encouraged due to its higher economic value compared to sour pomelo.
Hearing about the pomelo festival, those who love new flavors and are "food connoisseurs" were curious to know what pomelo would be like when used in dishes. A homestay owner, seemingly understanding the curiosity, posted on her personal page a variety of dishes featuring pomelo as the "main character," from salads and appetizers to hot pot, jelly, and cakes… According to the creator of these dishes, besides the beautiful color and novel flavor of the pomelo, it also stimulates the creativity of chefs and creates an immediate craving…
From specialties that enrich the culinary brand of Vinh Long province such as My Hoa tofu skin and Binh Tan sweet potatoes, it is hoped that the spontaneous creativity from 135 dishes made from pomelo fruit will inspire and guide food lovers who enjoy discovering new flavors to the pomelo-growing region and Vinh Long province - a land of bountiful fruits. At the same time, it contributes to promoting the image and enhancing the value of Binh Minh pomelo, thereby increasing farmers' income and creating a distinctive product, contributing to the promotion of the local economy and tourism.
